Seven Games Were Developed at The Same Time as The World

Seven games have been developed by Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) at the "Global Game Jam" (GGJ) event, where game developers have developed games without sleeping for 48 hours starting at the same time as the rest of the world.

Held for the first time in the Southeast by HKU

In the event of Global Game Jam (GGJ), which was held for the first time in the Southeast Region and in Gaziantep, under the leadership of the HKU, the HKU succeeded in developing seven games with a big success with theme titled "Transmission".

After the announcement of the event, seven groups made a great effort to complete their games at the end of the sleepless 48 hours and made presentations of their games. The completed games are; "Story of Blind Matisse" which tells the story of Matisse who lost his vision in a car accident when he was younger;"Musica Linka" in which people make music using blocks; "Color Attack" developed for people to have fun; ''Fiber'' tells the story of an electron in a malfunctioning motherboard; "Ninja Quiz" in which a ninja uses his brain to save his princess; "Commodore 64" is inspired by the best-selling personal computer of all times, and finally "Xloop" tells the story of the first human journey from Earth to Mars.

“STORY OF BLİND MATİSSE” BİRİNCİ OLDU

At the end of the event, the games were evaluated by a jury consisting of HKU Academicians and experienced people in the sector. "Story of Blind Matisse" ranked first because of its story, 3D modeling, and due to the fact that it was a social project.

Academicians, and students, Xloop Gaming and Tarboosh Gaming companies participated in the organization where professional game developers gathered. Dr. Tamer Yilmaz visited the gamers and learned about the games.

Participants stated that the event helped them to develop both professionally and socially. The participants were informed about the difficulties and opportunities that they would encounter in professional business life. It was reported that the games completed with intensive studies will be reported and evaluated by Kalyoncu Technology Transfer Office (KALITTO) team and prepared for entrepreneurship applications.
