APPLICATION PROCEDURES (BAŞVURU AŞAMALARI)

 

1.     Submission of documents  in English or Turkish for eligibility.  

a.      Letter of Application

b.      Copy of degree

c.      Transcript

d.       Course descriptions’

e.      Copy of Passport

 

2.     Assessment of applications

a.    During the assessment process, candidates will be ranked according to their CGPA for acceptance into        MA programs.

b.    For acceptance into PhD programs, candidates will be ranked by calculating  50 % of the foreign       language exam score and 50 % of the CGPA.

3.     Sending a letter of offer to eligible candidates

Applicants, if accepted into the program, must make an initial payment of $1000. Following this payment,  the letter of acceptance will be sent.  The remaining  amount will be deposited during registration.  If the candidate fails to register but has a valid reason, only half of the deposit will be returned.

 

IMPORTANT DATES (ÖNEMLİ TARİHLER)

1.     Announcement of results: 9th September 2013

2.     Registration: 12-13 September  2013 at the Registration Office.

3.     Commencement of courses: 16September 2013

4.     Add and Drop and advisor approval: 20 September2013

GENERAL CRITERIA FOR MA CANDIDATES  (YÜKSEK LİSANS ADAYLARI İÇİN GENEL KOŞULLAR)

1.     International applicants must score 60 % in TÖMER Turkish language proficiency examination.

2.     Applicants who do not have the required level of Turkish will be given one year to complete the Turkish language requirement.  Those who cannot complete such a requirement will not be able to continue the graduate program.

3.     Holding a BA degree in any field

4.     Candidates who graduated in a field other than business or economics will undertake a bridging program (Scientific preparation)

5.     Candidates who obtained their BA and MA degrees overseas must obtain a certificate of equivalence for their degree programs from YOK (Higher Education Council of Turkey)

6.     The Graduate programs bear tuition fees. Students who fail to make their payments for each semester will have  their studies terminated.

 

GENERAL CRITERIA FOR PhD in BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
(İŞLETME DOKTORA ADAYLARI İÇİN GENEL KOŞULLAR)   

1.     International applicants must score 60 % in TÖMER Turkish language proficiency examination.

2.     Applicants who do not have the required level of Turkish will be given one year to complete the Turkish language requirement.  Those who cannot complete such a requirement will not be able to continue the graduate program.

3.     Holding a BA or   MA

4.     Obtaining a minimum score of 55 % in the national English, German or French language exams (YDS)  or issuing an equivalent exam score approved by Inter-University Council.

5.     Candidates applying on the basis of their BA degree must have scored a CGPA of 80 out of 100 or 3 out of 4.  There is no CGPA requirement for MA holders.

 REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR REGISTRATION

1)   Pasaport  fotokopisi (Noter tasdikli),

1)   A photocopy of the applicant’s passport (verified by a notary)

2)   Diploma aslı (Noter tasdikli/yurtdışındaki yetkili Türk Temsilcilikleri tarafından onaylanmış) veya henüz diplomasını almamış olan adayların liselerinde belli bir tarihte mezun olacaklarını gösteren resmi bir belge,

2)   The original diploma (verified by a notary or the Turkish Representatives in a  foreign country);  for those who do not have a diploma yet please submit  a formal document indicating the certain date of graduation from senior high school.

3)   Lisans /yüksek lisans diplomaları için T.C. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’ndan ya da ülkelerindeki Türkiye Büyükelçiliği’nden alınabilecek Denklik Belgesi,

3) A cerificate of equivalence for Bachelor's and  Master’s degrees which can be obtained from the Turkish Ministry of Education or Turkish Embassy in the applicant’s country,

4)   Not belgesi aslı (Noter tasdikli/yurtdışındaki yetkili Türk Temsilcilikleri tarafından onaylanmış),

4)   The original transcript (certified by a notary or Turkish Representatives in the applicant’s country),

5)   Ülkesinin yetkili sağlık kurumlarınca onaylı, öğrencinin ”Bulaşıcı hastalık taşımadığı ve tedavisi zor ya da imkânsız herhangi bir hastalığı bulunmadığını”  gösteren sağlık raporu,

5)   A Medical Report verified by an authorized health institutions in the applicant’s country, showing that “the student does not have any contagious diseases that are difficult or impossible to treat.

6)  Öğrencinin ülkesindeki yetkili Türk Temsilciliğinden alacağı Öğrenim Vizesi Belgesi,

6)   The Educational visa received from the authorized Turkish Representatives in the applicant’s country,

   

7)   6 Adet fotoğraf,

7)   6  photos (passport size)

8)  Öğrenim ücretinin yatırıldığını gösteren banka dekontu.

 

8)   The bank receipt showing payment of tuition fee.

9)  Öğrenci, başvuru sırasında yukarıdaki istenen belgeleri eksiksiz olarak teslim etmek zorundadır. Tüm belgeler onaylı kopya olmalıdır. Üzerinde orijinal mühür ve imza olmayan fotokopi, faks veya e-posta ile gönderilen belgeler kabul edilmez. Ayrıca, tüm belgeler Türkçe veya İngilizce olmalıdır.

 

9) This application will not be taken into consideration unless accompanied by all required information and documents. All the documents have to be verified. Unsigned and unverified photocopies, and documents sent via fax machine or e-mail are not accepted.

10)  Kayıt için istenilen evrakların eksiksiz olması halinde, öğrencilerin Öğrenci İşleri Müdürlüğü tarafından kayıtları yapılır.

 

10)This application will be processed by the Registrar’s Office as long as it is accompanied by all required information and documents.

11) Üniversitemize kayıt yaptıracak bütün öğrencinin Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumuna kayıtları yapılacak olup, Sigorta Primleri 6111 sayılı yasa gereğince öğrenci tarafından karşılanacaktır. Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumuna ödenecek prim yaklaşık 70$ karşılığı TL'dir.

 

11) Registration with the Social Security Institution will be undertaken for all upcoming students, and insurance premiums will be covered by the student himself/herself, in accordance with law # 6111. The premium to be paid to the Social Security Institution is approximately $70.
