Agenda of psychology has been determined at HKU.
In “Agenda of Psychology – 6” Symposium, “Technology Addiction and Cyber Bullying” was discussed at Hasan Kalyoncu University Congress and Culture Center.
Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) hosted “Agenda of Psychology – 6 Symposium”. Psychologists, Psychological Counsellors and Guidance Counsellors from Gaziantep and cities around attended the symposium.
HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz who made the opening speech, “I greet you when I start my speech. I share the honour of being the host for the “Agenda of Psychology – 6 Symposium” and thank you for being with us. Today we will evaluate the dimensions of technology addiction and try to clear up the discussions on this. The strongest power which makes the humanity developed is the technology which progresses and expands without any doubt. Mankind hasn’t witnessed such a fast evolution before. With this evolution and progress in technology, equilibrants in our life have started to change besides the recovery in living conditions.
Internet, television, mobile phones and any other technological devices addiction affects the school-age teenagers recently. The experts from Psychology Department are going to discuss this issue today. I hope it will be a fruitful and useful Symposium and we will raise the awareness about Technology Addiction and Cyber Bullying and find solutions in this respect.”
