Great Success Of Hasan Kalyoncu University Student In The World Championship

Fehime Tuğçenur Kurt, 2nd grade student of Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, was the 6th in the world and represented Turkey in the 39th World Wrist Wrestling Championship.

Fehime Tuğçenur Kurt achieved the world 6th place in the division of 70 kg young ladies under the age of 21 in the 39th World Wrist Wrestling Championship which was organized in the capital city of Hungary in Budapest, where approximately 500 thousand people from 52 Countries participated. Tuğçenur Kurt, who said that her pillar of support is İsmail Kurt who is both her Team Coach and her father, she stated that she achieves success with her father’s support and that the contribution of her family is great.

Kurt stated that she prepared with the excitement of being chosen to the national team after winning the 1st place in the Turkish Championship and added that “I have tried hard as always to represent my country in the best way as much as I can. I will continue my training with the same excitement and honor and I would like to get the 1st place in the Turkish Championship which will be held in 2018, and represent my county in the World Championship again. One of the things that motivated me the most during my training was the support I received from my university. I have a university that gives importance to sports and athletes. I am very grateful to Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz, our Rector, who provided all kinds of support during the competition process.”
