Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation have been accredited for 5 years following evaluations of high-quality education, possession of all necessary academic infrastructure and the sustainability of quality standards, conducted by the Health Sciences Education Programmes Evaluation and Accreditation Association (SABAK), authorised by the Higher Education Quality and Accreditation Council (YOKAK).
Following an accreditation process that has been ongoing since 2020, Hasan Kalyoncu University’s Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics and Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation received 5-year accreditation. With this development, HKU became one of the first 10 universities in Turkey whose Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Department of Nutrition and Dietetics have been accredited.
Expressing his satisfaction with the accreditation of the Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli said: “The accreditations our departments have received mean that we have all the academic infrastructure needed to deliver high-quality education and that our quality standards are sustainable. The most important goal of our departments is to train well-equipped, competent and successful specialists who can master decision-making processes by delivering education at international standards with up-to-date information at the highest quality. In addition, training qualified academics through our graduate education is another of our strengths. Earning 5 years of accreditation is a clear indication and confirmation that we are advancing with confident steps towards excellence on our quality journey.”
Following the ceremony and the speeches, the Accreditation certificates were presented to the Departments of Nutrition and Dietetics and Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation by SABAK Vice Chair of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Maviş Emel Kulak Kayıkçı and Board Member Prof. Dr. Öznur Tunca Yılmaz.
