Living in Gaziantep
Gaziantep is one of the oldest cities on the Silk Road and a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy, famed for its baklava, copper bazaars, and mosaic museum. The climate is warm and dry in summer and mild in winter, with a long sunny season ideal for campus and outdoor life. Public buses, the tram, and ride-hailing apps make getting around easy and affordable.
Compared with Istanbul or Ankara, the cost of living in Gaziantep is significantly lower, which makes a real difference to your monthly budget for housing, food, and travel. Students gather in lively cafés near the historic center, in green parks, and at the bazaars where local makers still practice centuries-old crafts.
