Hasan Kalyoncu University to Honour Top Academics at Awards Ceremony

Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) will hold its Academic Awards Ceremony on 11 December 2024 to recognise outstanding scientific contributions and academic achievements. Hosted at the university’s Congress and Culture Centre, the event will honour faculty members who excelled during the 2023–2024 academic year.

Awards will go to academics named on Stanford University’s World’s Most Influential Scientists list; researchers whose TÜBITAK-funded projects were approved and who recorded the most publications and citations in SCIE, SSCI and AHCI indexed journals; faculty members with the highest academic incentive scores; students whose TÜBITAK 2209 projects were accepted, along with their academic advisers; and student teams that reached the TEKNOFEST finals.

HKU Board of Trustees Vice Chairman Haluk Kalyoncu stressed that the university values both scientific accomplishment and contribution to society. “Each new success carries our university further forward and strengthens us socially as well. The projects and scientific work produced by our academics play a meaningful role in the development of Gaziantep, our region and our country. Through these achievements, our university is making a substantial contribution to the region and the nation,” he said.
