The countdown has begun for the “Golden Baklava Film Academy 5th International Student Film Festival”, hosted by HKU, where films will compete in the documentary and fiction categories, whose applications have been ongoing for three months.
In the fictional and documentary categories, the Festival, where the short films deemed qualified by the esteemed jury members among the applications of the students will be awarded, is preparing to bring moviegoers together in Gaziantep.
A strong jury has been formed for the “Golden Baklava Film Academy International Student Film Festival” organized for the fifth time this year by Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU). The Festival, which has become traditional and “international” this year, will take place in Gaziantep on December 10-12.
AN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL WITH A GIANT JURY STAFF
Films shorter than 30 minutes will compete in the festival, which is a young culture and arts event and where films deemed qualified among university students’ applications in fiction / documentary categories will be awarded. The three-day festival will bring young moviegoers and famous artists together.
At the short film festival, where students from 24 countries apply with their films; Six workshops, five actor and director conversations will be held and the awards for successful films will be given by master actors and directors at the “Golden Baklava Film Festival Gala Night”.
Situated among Turkey’s most prestigious film festivals “Golden Baklava V. Film Academy International Student Film Festival” jury president, director and screenwriter will make famous Osman Sınav. Kerem Alışık, Cansel Elçin and İrem Helvacıoğlu will be the other jury members of the festival, which hosts famous artists every year.

The applications of the festival, in which the short films of the university students will be awarded in the documentary and fiction categories, will continue until 26 November.
