Teachers in Gaziantep Met at HKU

Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Faculty of Education, Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center (PDR-MER) and Kalyoncu Gifted Center (KÜYMER) organized a seminar on “Contemporary Approaches in Education Teacher Training”. Teachers’ interest was intense in the event held for teachers working in Gaziantep.

Teachers working in Gaziantep attended the program held in HKU Congress and Culture Center (KKM). The opening speeches of the seminar, which deals with the transfer of learning styles to students by the teacher, were made by HKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Özbay, HKU Education Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Şener Büyüköztürk, HKU Education Faculty Dr. Lecturer Member and Director of Kalyoncu Gifted Center Cemre Tatlı presented presentations on the effect of changing knowledge on education and training were made by expert speakers in the program in which contemporary approaches in education were explained.

“IT’S A PRIVILEGED FIELD TO BE A TEACHER”

Stating that being a teacher is privileged, HKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Özbay: “Being a teacher is a privileged field. A profession that includes art and science, as such, it goes beyond the profession. But two things are in motion. One of them is information, and the other is how knowledge is passed on to new generations. The luckiest profession among professions is teaching. Teaching emerges as a life-long profession that has to change, renew, and renew itself. I am very happy on behalf of my university. It is pleasing to see such an army of education together. I wish it to be an event based on the principle of mutual winning”.

HKU Education Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Şener Büyüköztürk said: “We are here with excitement and enthusiasm. Your participation in this sharing training activity is very meaningful for us. Our university is a young university, but a university with a very big heart and the motivation is also very high. I wish it to be a productive seminar”.

“WE MUST INTEGRATE KNOWLEDGE INTO EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS”

HKU Education Faculty Dr. Lecturer Member Cemre Tatlı: “The use of technology towards information is more in our lives. We should benefit from our daily research knowledge by integrating knowledge into educational environments. We will try to share them with you during these two days. We aim to strive to strengthen university-field cooperation. Our teachers’ interest in learning made us happy. Our excitement will be at the point of sharing current approaches, I thank everyone ”.

Emphasizing the importance of how to transfer knowledge to students by teachers, HKU Faculty of Education Dr. Lecturer Member and Kalyoncu Gifted Center Director Cemre Tatlı and HKU Education Faculty Dr. Lecturer Member Gökçen Aydın presented a plaque. The event, in which the teachers have great interest and the communication between the teacher and the student is very high, will last for two days.
