Organized annually by Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKÜ) to contribute to the development of the gaming and software industry and support the training of agile developers, the traditional game development marathon, HKÜ GAME-JAM’22, was held over the weekend.

Seventeen teams consisting of 80 game developers gathered at the HKÜ Student Center for the weekend event organized by the HKÜ Software Student Community, and after a challenging and sleepless 48-hour marathon, they developed 15 different games.

Speaking after the presentations of the developed mobile games during the competition marathon, HKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli stated, “Developing a game in 48 hours is not an easy process. In this process, you sometimes stay sleepless, but you make progress and develop stronger games. It is pleasing to see friends from different disciplines in the competition teams. Developing 15 games in such a short time is a great success. This year, our high school students from the Deneyap Technology Workshops also participated in the competition and achieved success. I congratulate all the game developers who participated in the event and thank our OSB Technopark and all event sponsors for their support.”

Following the speech, the teams that ranked were announced as Task Force 241, who came in first place, The Passengers in second place, and Helikanon in third place, and plaques were presented to them.
