Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), Yıldız Technical University (YTU) and Gaziantep University (GAÜN) jointly organise the International Conference on Materials and Engineering Technologies every year. The 4th edition (TICMET’22) was held this year in Istanbul, hosted by YTU, with the participation of Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Abdullah Tancan, President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, Rector of Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli, Rector of Yıldız Technical University (YTU) Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz, Vice President of TÜBİTAK ARDEB Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cengiz Arıcı, Vice President of TÜBİTAK TEYDEB Dr. Hasan Selçuk Selek and Conference Chair Prof. Dr. Necip Fazıl Yılmaz.
At the TICMET’22 Conference held at the YTU Davutpaşa Congress and Culture Centre in Istanbul, participants presented and discussed current research and its results on Materials Science, Computer Integrated Manufacturing Systems, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, Agriculture and Food Technologies, New Mechatronic Systems, Micro / Nano Biomedical Devices and Systems, and similar topics.
The two-day conference ended with a special R&D session discussing the academic incentives provided by TÜBİTAK to both industry and academics. The 5th edition of the Conference will be held next year in Trabzon at Karadeniz Technical University (KTÜ).
