The “AI’NTEP – Artificial Intelligence Festival”, organised by Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) in cooperation with OSB Technopark and Türkiye İş Bankası – Artificial Intelligence Factory under the motto “Türkiye’s Most Productive Festival”, and launched with the aim of bringing together relevant sector leaders, experts, academics, students, software developers, practitioners and everyone interested in or using artificial intelligence, was held with strong participation at the HKU Congress and Culture Centre. The festival featured inspiring conferences, a 24-hour ideas & software marathon aimed at developing innovative AI-based projects, and a meeting of start-ups and innovative AI projects with investors.
THE AI’NTEP FESTIVAL BECAME THE COMMON MEETING POINT OF ACADEMICS, BUSINESS PEOPLE, EXECUTIVES, EXPERTS AND AI ENTHUSIASTS
At the AI’NTEP Festival, which offered participants opportunities for both gaining knowledge and networking through its events and scope, the topics “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Business World: Current Situation and Future Perspectives”, “Artificial Intelligence and Industry Applications, Technological Innovations and Research on Artificial Intelligence”, “Uses of Artificial Intelligence in Wearable Health Technologies”, “Artificial Intelligence Policies and Practices in the Public Sector” and “Artificial Intelligence Technologies, Large Language Models and Cloud Computing” were discussed and presented by academics, business people, executives and experts.
HKU RECTOR PROF. DR. TÜRKAY DERELİ PRESENTED TÜRKİYE’S FIRST GENERATIVE AI-BASED SMART EDUCATION ASSISTANT
At the AI’NTEP festival, it was also announced, as a first in Türkiye, that a “Generative AI-Based Smart Education Assistant” has been developed by Hasan Kalyoncu University and put into service. Presenting the innovative education tool, which works integrated with the university’s student information/management system, HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli said: “Thanks to this ‘generative AI’ application, which we are putting into service at our university and which is integrated with our university’s ‘student information/management system’, our students will be able to access academic course materials more easily, make course-based and smart queries and interact, and increase the speed and quality of their learning. As HKU, we are determined to use the power of artificial intelligence effectively and to the fullest in all education, teaching and research processes.”
THE PRESIDENTIAL DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OFFICE (DTO) ATTENDED THE AI’NTEP ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FESTIVAL IN FULL FORCE
Within the scope of the festival, at the panel titled “Artificial Intelligence Policies and Practices in the Public Sector”, moderated by HKU Board of Trustees Member Prof. Dr. Necip Fazıl Yılmaz, Presidential DTO Unit Director Dr. Atilla Aydın spoke on the ‘National Artificial Intelligence Strategy’, Presidential DTO Project Manager Dr. Ramazan Terzi on the ‘Digital Young AI Ecosystem and AI Projects in the Public Sector’, Presidential DTO Risk Manager Dr. Zümrüt Müftüoğlu on ‘AI Risk Management and Data-Driven Studies’, and Presidential DTO AI Policy Analyst Attorney İlayda Süer on the ‘Regulation of AI Systems’, sharing their experience with the participants.
DOMESTIC AND NATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES AND COMPETITORS IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE WERE ALSO DISCUSSED
At the final panel of the festival, moderated by Rotatelab Founder and Chairman of the Board Abdurrahman Koçak, Baykar Smart Web Systems Group Leader, T3 Foundation Board of Trustees Member and T3 AI Programme Manager Refik Söylemez, Demirören Media Information Systems Director Barış Öztürk, Huawei Senior Cloud Engineer Taylan Lakerta, Sabah Newspaper Columnist Timur Sırt, HAVELSAN MAİN Product Manager Osman Kavaf and HAVELSAN AI Applications Engineer Muhammed Cihat Ünal focused on Artificial Intelligence Technologies, Large Language Models and Cloud Computing, and provided comprehensive information about Türkiye’s ability and capacity to produce innovative solutions and platforms in the field of artificial intelligence.
