Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) continues its efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and enhance international engagement in higher education in line with its internationalisation vision. As part of the International Central Asia Education Forum, HKU signed a total of eight cooperation protocols with six universities from Uzbekistan and two from Kazakhstan. The agreements marked an important step towards strengthening academic relations between the institutions and developing sustainable opportunities for cooperation.
“WE AIM TO TRANSFORM INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION INTO TANGIBLE ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES”
Attending the International Central Asia Education Forum in Uzbekistan, HKU Rector Prof. Dr Gül Rengin Küçükerdoğan said: “At Hasan Kalyoncu University, we regard internationalisation not merely as a means of expanding our academic network, but as an important process that creates new opportunities for learning, research and development for our students and academics. We believe that the cooperation protocols we have signed with eight universities from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will create new opportunities in many areas, ranging from joint academic programmes and student and staff mobility to scientific research and vocational education initiatives.
“We attach great importance to further strengthening the historical and cultural ties between Türkiye and the countries of Central Asia through cooperation in education and science. Our aim is to ensure that these protocols do not remain solely at an institutional level, but are transformed into sustainable initiatives from which our students and academics can directly benefit. I believe these collaborations will enhance the exchange of knowledge and experience between our universities, support joint scientific output and make a significant contribution to international engagement in higher education.”
JOINT PROGRAMMES AND ACADEMIC MOBILITY ON THE AGENDA
