Rector of Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli published a message on the occasion of “30 August Victory Day”.
In his message, Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli stated the following:
“The Victory of 30 August carries great significance as it consolidates and crowns the strength of our esteemed nation, which has overcome all the obstacles it has faced throughout its history in unity and solidarity, with a spirit of brotherhood and with faith. The Victory of 30 August is the proclamation to the whole world of our nation’s will to live independently on the homeland it holds dearer than its own life. On 30 August, it was shown to the whole world once again that the Turk cannot be enslaved and Anatolia cannot be occupied. With these feelings and thoughts, we remember with mercy and gratitude, first and foremost Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his heroic comrades-in-arms, and our esteemed martyrs who sacrificed their lives without hesitation for our homeland and our flag, and we remember our veterans with gratitude. Happy 30 August Victory Day!”
