According to the results of the 2024 Türkiye University Satisfaction Survey (TÜMA) announced by the University Research Laboratory (ÜniAr), Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), which received an A+ grade in four of the six satisfaction categories, ranked 8th among 200 universities in Türkiye and 3rd among 74 foundation universities in the “overall satisfaction” ranking, once again proving its claim in this field.
STUDENT FOCUS IS HKU’S CORE COMPETENCE
The research results, shared with the public at https://www.uniar.net/tuma, are a natural reflection of the education, teaching and research ecosystem they have built around student satisfaction, said HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli: “I sincerely thank all our academic and administrative staff who contributed to these delightful results through their work, and of course our valued students who have given us this pride. Student focus is a core competence of Hasan Kalyoncu University. With our vision of educating innovative graduates who will build a sustainable future through applied research, we will continue to work together with all our strength to develop this core competence.”
AMONG THE TOP IN ALL CATEGORIES
Emphasising that ranking highly in all satisfaction categories is also extremely important, HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli said: “It is a source of pride that we rank second among foundation universities and sixth among all universities with an A+ grade in the Satisfaction with the Management and Operation of the Institution category. In the Campus and Campus Life Satisfaction category, too, we rank fifth among foundation universities and fourteenth among all universities with an A+ grade. We are an environmentally friendly campus university certified with an A+ grade. For the last two years, our campus has also been listed by GreenMetric among the world’s top 300 greenest campuses. One of the results that makes us happiest is that we rank third among foundation universities and sixth among all universities with an A+ grade in the Personal Development and Career Support category. Our Career Planning, Application and Research Centre, together with our Dean of Students’ Office, develops important projects in career management with the support of our Alumni Association. The most important of these, our Career School, is in great demand. We prioritise personalised and applied education and teaching. We ensure that our students and graduates are integrated with the business world. All our staff, especially our Dean of Students’ Office, deal one-to-one with our students’ problems and try to produce solutions. We believe that all these efforts, which we undertake sincerely, play an important role in increasing our students’ satisfaction levels.”

ÜniAr, which also evaluates rectors according to the performance of their universities, deemed HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli worthy of the “ÜniAr Silver Award”.
