HKU IS AMONG THE LEADING UNIVERSITIES IN TÜRKİYE
Haluk Kalyoncu, Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), drew attention in his speech at the 2024-2025 Academic Year Orientation Programme to the university’s great achievements in recent years, saying: “With its 500,000-square-metre open-air campus, HKU is among the leading universities in Türkiye. It is a great source of pride for us to have ranked 8th among 200 universities in overall satisfaction, and 3rd among foundation universities, in the 2024 Türkiye University Satisfaction Survey. I would also like to stress that, with a scholarship rate of 57%, we are one of the universities that provide the most scholarships. In line with our environmental and sustainability vision, nearly ten thousand saplings have been planted on our campus, and we have earned the Zero Waste Certificate and Green Campus certificates. The success of our 6 teams that reached the finals at Teknofest best reflects the innovative and entrepreneurial spirit of our university. Our team FireFiles made us very proud by winning both third place and the ‘Best Commercialisation Potential’ award with their ‘THY-Bul’ project. I remind our new students that they have taken the first step of this career journey here, and that they will shape their own future with their determination, productivity and hard work. Hasan Kalyoncu University has an educational approach that will bring out your social and cultural experience and your talents. We are proud that our HKU family is growing with bright young people like you. I sincerely believe that throughout your studies here you will make the best use of the opportunities offered and become individuals who will bring real benefit to humanity.”
YOUR UNIVERSITY WILL BE BY YOUR SIDE FOR LIFE AND WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT YOU

At this most important stage of your education, you will not only gain a profession, but also increase your knowledge and culture in every field and broaden your horizons.
