The road map of the university was drawn with the Quality and Strategy Workshop organized by the Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Accreditation and Quality Coordinator. In the common mind platform where HKU Academic and Administrative Staff Managers came together, the visionary goals and strategic decisions in this context were revised and redesigned. STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKS FOR HKU’S 2023 VISION
Within the scope of Quality and Strategy Workshop; “Where we are now, where do we want to be, how can we measure our development, how can we reach where we want to be, how can we determine and monitor our roadmap for our development, what are the general strategies and vision goals of Turkish and world universities that are considered successful, what is success according to HKU members, HKU ‘ What are the strengths and weaknesses of the PCC, What are the current environmental conditions (opportunities and threats), which strategic priorities and visionary goals should the HKU be based on, what social activities should be pursued at HKU? ” Strategic planning studies were carried out for the 2023 vision of HKU with questions such as. In the workshop, which put the themes of internationalization, digitalization, interdisciplinarization and institutionalization in the forefront of strategic planning studies; The university’s new strategic goals were determined in the areas of quality assurance system, education, R&D, management processes and social contribution.
COMMON MIND PLATFORM WITH CORPORATE SYNERGY
Having received the “ISO 9001: 2005 Quality Management System Certificate” in December 2018 and guiding its work in this context, HKU created a corporate synergy in the two-day workshop that it organized to make measurable definitions of the goals it wants to achieve. Thousands of data were obtained from the new ideas generated in the workshop, which was held in sessions and with teamwork. At the Quality and Strategy Workshop, where all kinds of ideas and information are emphasized, HKU, which was divided into groups and engaged in various team works, produced thousands of ideas and strategies in joint works. At the end of each day, all information was collected and processed separately. The processed information was collected to reach the result and the road map of Hasan Kalyoncu University in the following years was designed.
“WE WILL TAKE HKU FURTHER”
Speaking at the Quality and Strategy Workshop where strategic management stages are also determined, HKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Edibe Sözen: “It was an excellent work. As Hasan Kalyoncu University, we are progressing very fast. We have accomplished great works in a short time. In the workshop, I mostly wanted to focus on research and academic studies. One of the most important issues we will focus on; There will be academic studies, citations, publications and research. We have goals to develop our students in a versatile way. We have made serious efforts at the point of institutionalization. We did a lot of work with the Quality Coordinator. All of our administrative units worked very hard. We have a strong academic staff. We will carry our university further. I would like to thank everyone who contributed, ”he said.
