HKÜ Leaves Its Mark on Girişim-23!

Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Innovation and Technology Transfer Office (KALITTO) Incubation Center and game entrepreneurs operating in the OSB Technopark, with the support of numerous non-governmental organizations, participated in the GİRİŞİM-23 Fair held at Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Congresium, which is described as Turkey’s most comprehensive entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology summit, introducing their initiatives and meeting with investors.

Stakeholders and participants in the entrepreneurial ecosystem attending the fair had the opportunity to experience the games developed by entrepreneurs located in HKU KALITTO Incubation Center and OSB Technopark. The award-winning initiatives showcased at HKU’s booth received great interest from visitors, leaving a mark on the fair.

Expressing their happiness to be part of GİRİŞİM-23, one of the most comprehensive entrepreneurship events in Turkey, and for the attention received, Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli, the President of HKU, stated, “Our university, with our Technology Transfer Office and in cooperation with Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone (GAOSB), continues to provide support to local and foreign entrepreneurs operating in Gaziantep OSB to realize business ideas that will contribute to the digital transformation of industry. Our Incubation Center offers working opportunities to game developers, as well as support for company establishment and business planning. Over 40 companies have been established by students and academicians in our incubation center, and 15 of them have received initial capital from various institutions. A total of 156 patent applications have been made by students and academicians, 16 of which have been registered, and 5 have been commercialized. In OSB Technopark, entrepreneurs have conducted a total of 47 official R&D and software projects. By participating in such fairs, we aim to facilitate more meetings between our initiatives and investors, and to help open the way for our entrepreneurs.
