“The independence struggle of Gaziantep people 99 years ago has been an example to the whole world. The epic struggle of an oppressed people against the enemy is a source of pride for all of us. The people of Gaziantep to the enemy to write this glorious epic, at the cost of martyring one fourth of the people; He said, “Stop!” Under the leadership of Şehit Kamil, Şahin Bey, Karayılan and many other anonymous heroes, who are a 14-year-old little boy but whose heart is full of love for the country, the people of Gaziantep successfully resisted the attacks of the imperialist powers without any support and assistance from anywhere. Our duty today; is to work with all our strength and work hard, with the same spirit, worthy of our ancestors who inherited this city and homeland to us. Hasan Kalyoncu University, which is located in Gazi City Gaziantep, which is the land of martyrs and veterans who do not give up their homeland at the expense of their lives despite all kinds of difficulties, continues to work with this awareness. On this occasion, I proudly celebrate the 99th Anniversary of the Liberation of our Veteran City from the Enemy Occupation, and I remember with mercy especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and our heroes and our veterans, , who fell without blinking their eyes.
