The AI’NTEP Artificial Intelligence Festival was held at Hasan Kalyoncu University.

Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), in collaboration with OSB Technopark and Türkiye İş Bankası – Artificial Intelligence Factory, organized the “AI’NTEP – Artificial Intelligence Festival” under the motto “Turkey’s Most Productive Festival.” Aimed at bringing together leaders, experts, academicians, students, software developers, practitioners, and anyone interested in or using artificial intelligence from relevant sectors, the festival featured inspiring conferences, a 24-hour idea & software marathon focused on developing AI-based innovative projects, and a platform where startups and innovative AI projects met with investors. The event took place with significant participation at the HKU Congress and Culture Center.

AI’NTEP Festival Becomes the Common Destination for Academicians, Businesspeople, Executives, Experts, and AI Enthusiasts

Offering participants both the opportunity to gain knowledge and network through its events and scope, the AI’NTEP Festival featured discussions and presentations by academicians, businesspeople, executives, and experts on topics such as: “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Business: Current Status and Future Perspectives,” “AI and Industrial Applications, Technological Innovations and Research on AI,” “AI Uses in Wearable Health Technologies,” “Public Sector AI Policies and Applications,” and “AI Technologies, Large Language Models, and Cloud Computing.”

HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli Introduced Turkey’s First Productive AI-Based Smart Education Assistant

At the AI’NTEP festival, a first in Turkey was announced: Hasan Kalyoncu University developed and implemented the “Productive AI-Based Smart Education Assistant.” HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli introduced this innovative educational tool, which operates in integration with the university’s student information/management system. Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli stated, “With this ‘productive artificial intelligence’ application that we are implementing at our university and integrated with our university’s ‘student information/management system,’ our students will have easier access to academic course materials, engage in smart queries and interactions based on courses, and enhance the speed and quality of learning. At HKU, we are committed to effectively and fully utilizing the power of artificial intelligence in all educational and research processes.

The Presidential Digital Transformation Office (DDO) had a full team presence at the AI’NTEP Artificial Intelligence Festival.

During the festival, in a panel titled “Artificial Intelligence Policies and Applications in the Public Sector,” moderated by Prof. Dr. Necip Fazıl Yılmaz, a member of the HKU Board of Trustees, Dr. Atilla Aydın, Unit Manager at the Presidential Digital Transformation Office (DDO), discussed the “National Artificial Intelligence Strategy.” Dr. Ramazan Terzi, Project Manager at the Presidential DDO, talked about the “Digital Young Artificial Intelligence Ecosystem and Artificial Intelligence Projects in the Public Sector.” Dr. Zümrüt Müftüoğlu, Risk Manager at the Presidential DDO, shared insights on “Artificial Intelligence Risk Management and Data-Oriented Studies.” Lastly, Av. İlayda Süer, Artificial Intelligence Policy Analyst at the Presidential DDO, presented on “Regulation of Artificial Intelligence Systems.

Domestic and national technologies in artificial intelligence, as well as competitors, were discussed during the event.

During the festival, in the final panel moderated by Abdurrahman Koçak, Founder and Chairman of Rotatelab, the discussion focused on Artificial Intelligence Technologies, Large Language Models, and Cloud Computing. Speakers included Refik Söylemez, Smart Web Systems Group Leader at Baykar, Trustee of T3 Foundation, and T3 AI Program Manager; Barış Öztürk, Director of Information Systems at Demirören Medya; Taylan Lakerta, Senior Cloud Engineer at Huawei; Timur Sırt, Columnist at Sabah Newspaper; Osman Kavaf, Main Product Manager at HAVELSAN; and Muhammed Cihat Ünal, Artificial Intelligence Applications Engineer at HAVELSAN. They provided comprehensive insights into Turkey’s ability and capacity to produce innovative solutions and platforms in the field of artificial intelligence.
