Organized with the support of Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Administration and the initiative of HKU Student Clubs, the “Aid Vehicle for Elazig”, which contains food and living materials, set off from HKU to reach Elazig, the earthquake region.
HKU Administration and Aid Team is in Elazig
Humanitarian living materials, which were formed by the support of HKU Administration and student clubs, were loaded on the aid vehicle with the participation of AFAD Gaziantep Provincial Director Bekir Şen. The aid vehicle carrying food supplies and humanitarian materials departed from the campus to go to Elazig from HKU. HKU Management and the aid team consisting of students, on the other hand, set up a stand in Elazig, distributing humanitarian living materials and supporting earthquake victims.

HKU Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees Haluk Kalyoncu, who made a donation on behalf of Hasan Kalyoncu University by connecting to TV8’s One Heart program by phone, gave the following statements about the aid vehicle sent to Elazig: “We send the donations prepared with the support of all student clubs within our university to Elazig. . Speaking about the Elazig earthquake and aids, HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Edibe Sözen, on the other hand, said, “In the earthquake that took place in Sivrice district of Elazig with a magnitude of 6.8 and affected many nearby provinces such as Malatya, Gaziantep, Mardin, Diyarbakır and Şanlıurfa, there were sad lives and many people were victims. Turkey has proved its unity and interlocked together to help all sides began to extend the hand of Elazig. As Hasan Kalyoncu University, our student clubs have prepared an aid vehicle with aid materials to reach the earthquake zone. First of all, I would like to thank my students who are sensitive to social events and who have made great efforts by not being able to watch the recent earthquake and I am proud of them all.
