Collaboration Protocol Signed Between Hasan Kalyoncu University, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, and Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce

“A protocol was signed between Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GBB), and the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce (GTO) to facilitate knowledge and resource sharing, foster the city’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, and establish a mutually symbiotic collaboration.

The signing ceremony took place at ‘Station Gaziantep’ with the attendance of HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli, Gaziantep Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, Rector of Gaziantep Islamic Science and Technology University Prof. Dr. Şehmus Demir, Rector of Sanko University Prof. Dr. Güner Dağlı, Chairman of the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Board Mehmet Tuncay Yıldırım, and Secretary General of the İpekyolu Development Agency Ahmet Paksu.

With this protocol, the terms and principles for joint initiatives with ‘Station Gaziantep’ were established. This innovative center, designed to support the sustainable development of the city, lead digital transformation processes, and create a strong entrepreneurship ecosystem, aims to enhance Gaziantep’s national and international competitiveness by developing data-driven projects in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Additionally, a collaboration protocol was signed between GBB’s affiliated company GBB Bilişim A.Ş. and Hasan Kalyoncu University, which includes the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone Technology Development Region Technopark A.Ş.

In a brief statement on the topic, HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli said, ‘The collaboration protocols signed today hold significant value for both our university and the entrepreneurship ecosystem of Gaziantep. At Hasan Kalyoncu University, we maintain a vision focused on quality in education, as well as supporting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation. The collaborations we are undertaking with the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce will further strengthen the city’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. By combining our academic expertise with the city management experience of our municipality and the robust commercial networks of our chamber of commerce, I am confident that we will make a substantial contribution to the city’s economic development.
