Continuing Education Cooperation Protocol Signed Between Hasan Kalyoncu University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University

Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University (MSFAU) have signed a cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening collaboration and developing joint initiatives in the field of continuing education.

The signing ceremony for the protocol, which will bring together the knowledge, experience and academic expertise of the Continuing Education Application and Research Centres of both universities, was attended by HKU Rector Professor Gül Rengin Küçükerdoğan; Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Rector Professor Ahmet Sacit Açıkgözoğlu; MSFAU Secretary-General Daniyal Çakıral; MSFAU Continuing Education Centre Director Associate Professor Kevser Gürcan; and HKU Continuing Education Centre Director Assistant Professor Sema Mercanoğlu Erin.

A Major Opportunity for Both Istanbul and Gaziantep

Emphasising the significance of the protocol, Professor Küçükerdoğan stated that universities are not only institutions that produce academic knowledge, but also important structures that contribute to society and various sectors.

HKU Rector Professor Küçükerdoğan said:

“Continuing education centres are among the most dynamic structures enabling universities to establish strong links with society and the business community. Through this cooperation with Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, we aim to develop high-quality and visionary education programmes in both Gaziantep and Istanbul that will make a significant impact. This partnership will offer valuable opportunities for participants and the business communities in both cities.”

Within the scope of the protocol, the two universities aim to launch joint training and certificate programmes in the field of design across Gaziantep and the surrounding region, raise awareness of cultural heritage, integrate traditional values with design and production, support the career development of young people, organise art education programmes for children, and carry out entrepreneurship initiatives for disadvantaged individuals.
