ENCOREN Team from Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), a continuous academic partner of TEKNOFEST, has achieved first place in the TÜBİTAK “2242 University Students Research Project Competitions Information and Communication Technologies Field, Wearable Technology Thematic Area” within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2023 with their project named ‘G-GLOVE,’ a virtual reality glove. The team secured their victory, earning plaques and awards totaling 40,000 TL.
G-GLOVE: ACHIEVING THE SENSATION OF TOUCHING OBJECTS
The G-GLOVE project, which claimed the first place in its category at TEKNOFEST 2023, involved the production of a prototype ‘haptic glove’ with an original mechanical design to be used in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) applications. The glove provides a more realistic sensation, distinguishing itself with a lower cost compared to its counterparts.
