Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) has been ranked 33rd among 124 universities from Türkiye included in the Times Higher Education (THE) “World University Rankings 2027”, and 12th among foundation universities. HKU ranked first among universities in the Southeastern Anatolia Region and made its debut in the THE World University Rankings in the 1201–1400 band.

HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Gül Rengin Küçükerdoğan stated that the university’s first-ever inclusion in an international ranking is an important reflection of its work in education and research, as well as the efforts of its strong academic staff. Küçükerdoğan said, “At Hasan Kalyoncu University, we regard academic quality, scientific research and internationalisation as fundamental areas that complement one another. We support the research activities of our academics and carry out initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of scientific output and increasing our international visibility. In the coming period, we aim to make this progress sustainable by further strengthening our research capacity, expanding our academic collaborations and continuously improving the educational environment we provide for our students.”
“IT DEMONSTRATES THE QUALITY OF OUR SCIENTIFIC OUTPUT”
HKU Dean of Research Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan Aracı stated that the university’s performance in the area of research quality is an important indicator of the standard of its scientific output. Aracı said, “As the Dean’s Office for Research, we conduct our work in line with the Council of Higher Education’s (YÖK) 2030 vision; by transferring our research processes to digital platforms, we systematically collect, monitor and analyse data.”
