Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKÜ) has secured places in the finals of TEKNOFEST 2026 with seven teams competing in a range of technology fields, while one additional team has advanced to the semi-finals.
Teams comprising students from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Aeronautics and Astronautics are competing with projects developed in areas including artificial intelligence, financial technologies, robotics, rocketry, unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned underwater systems.

HKÜ Rector Prof. Dr Gül Rengin Küçükerdoğan said that the students’ achievements further strengthened the University’s culture of research and innovation.
“Our greatest achievement is to educate students who can generate and develop ideas, collaborate across different disciplines and turn knowledge into technology. I congratulate all our teams and their academic advisers who have advanced to the finals and semi-finals, and wish them continued success,” she said.
HKÜ Secretary-General Ümit Şahnaoğlu also met with the teams preparing for the finals, received information about their projects and wished the students every success in the competition.

As part of the Blue Homeland (Mavi Vatan) Competition, the finals in the Underwater Rocket and Unmanned Underwater Systems categories will be held in Gölcük from 20 to 23 August 2026.
