FIRE EXERCISE BY STUDENTS

The health event, which emphasized the importance of nurses and healthcare workers at every stage of the disaster, lasted for two days. On the first day, the National Medical Rescue Team (UMKE), consisting of volunteer health workers, showed the students in HKU Faculty of Health Sciences and in some areas on the campus the situations they experienced in natural disasters and what they did. In the program, where there was a fire drill, the students made a realistic exercise with UMKE. The drill, in which the building was intended to be evacuated instantly and under necessary conditions in the event of a fire, did look like the truth. A student put on the mask used by UMKE in disasters against chemical epidemics and diseases. The rescue team expressed that they are prepared for all kinds of physical conditions and natural disasters in the regions they visit.
