
Saplings Met with Soil in Burned Forest Areas in Hatay, HKU Breathe Hatay.
Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences International Trade and Logistics (UTL) Department students, Prof. Dr. Vildan Serin Within the scope of the social responsibility projects lesson led by and organized the “Breathe in Hatay” project.
Saplings were planted in the areas damaged by forest fires in Iskenderun, Arsuz, Belen and Samandağ districts of Hatay on November 11 National Afforestation Day. HKU, which provides all kinds of support to its students in order to raise awareness of social responsibility, added a new one to the projects developed within the scope of social awareness and participated in the tree planting ceremony held in the Fatih District of Hatay’s Belen District. “Breathe to Hatay!” Starting off with the slogan, HKU students rolled up their sleeves for a greener world within the scope of the Social Responsibility Project course. HKU Students stated that they act with the awareness that studying at a university is not only through education but also through productions beneficial to society, and after planting the saplings, they gave Hatay a breath.

Expressing his thoughts on the social responsibility project of HKU students, Head of International Trade and Logistics Department Prof. Dr. Vildan Serin: “Social Responsibility Project students of Hasan Kalyoncu University International Trade and Logistics Department participated in the afforestation activity in Hatay – Belen region on the National Afforestation Day, which was initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, in which more than 70 countries participated and said no to terror and They have contributed to leaving a greener world.
