Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) ranked 12th among foundation universities and 42nd among all universities in the 2018 “Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index”. The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) carried out under the leadership of HK indices, it has maintained its position in the top tier among 164 universities.

Science, Industry and Technology Minister HK according to the list released by Mustafa Varank, scored a total of 34.19 ranks 12th among private universities in Turkey, the entry # 42 among all universities. In a study he performed each year by TUBITAK and universities of all universities in Turkey that takes place; indicators such as scientific and technological research competence, intellectual property pool, cooperation and interaction, entrepreneurship and innovation culture, economic contribution and commercialization were evaluated.

Expressing his thoughts on the 2018 Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index, HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Edibe Sözen: “The announced entrepreneurial and innovative university index made us proud. Hasan Kalyoncu University; It is the first foundation university of the region with 7 faculties, 25 departments, and 2 colleges. Our university; It is among the important universities of the region by continuing its development every year with the breakthroughs it has made since its establishment, the projects it has developed and the collaborations it has provided to the society. Kalyoncu Innovation Technology and Transfer Office (KALİTTO), Kalyon Garage Prototyping and Entrepreneurship Center, registered patents, university-industry cooperation, Incubation Center in the Slikon Valley of America, periodicals, contracted industry projects, and the newly established Technopark in the organized industrial zone. It is an entrepreneurial and innovative university. With its technological infrastructure, cooperation and interactions, strong academic staff and entrepreneurial spirit, it will raise this bar even more and will be in studies that will always make a name for itself. “I would like to thank all our employees who always keep the success rate of our university high,” he said.
