
The “Turkey Export Mobilization Summit,” organized by the Turkuvaz Media Group, where the latest developments in the business world and exports were discussed, took place at the service building of the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters’ Associations (GAİB) with the participation of the Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat.
The opening of the summit, which attracted great interest from representatives of the industrial and business sectors, was attended by Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, as well as the Governor of Gaziantep, Kemal Çeber, the Mayor of Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Fatma Şahin, Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli, and valuable representatives of the business world.
Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat made important and up-to-date announcements closely related to the business world, stating that the year 2023 will close with a national income exceeding 1 trillion dollars and the per capita national income will rise to $12,500. Following the opening speeches and the statements of Trade Minister Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, the panels began.
Moderated by Sabah Newspaper Columnist Feride Cem, the panel titled “Turkey’s Potential and Export Finance” was attended by Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli, the Rector of Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKÜ). He talked about the successes of Turkey and Gaziantep in exports, the importance of sustainable exports, and the role of universities in this process. Emphasizing that the business world can develop products and services with high exportability by utilizing the research and development (R&D) capacity of universities, Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli highlighted that universities contribute to the processes of developing systems and portals that facilitate exports. He stated that universities have started to develop solutions that can directly impact exports in recent years and said, “Universities, aiming to train the future leaders of exports, can contribute to the export ecosystem, especially its sustainability and efficiency, through their education, research, and development activities. At Hasan Kalyoncu University, we consider this important and prioritize it.
