Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Career Planning Application and Research Center, in collaboration with the Career Student Community and the Youth Board of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association Gaziantep Branch (Young MÜSIAD), organized a program where Erbakan Malkoç, a leading young businessperson in the industry, shared his entrepreneurial experiences with students.
The program, held with great interest at the HKU Law Amphitheater, was attended by HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli, Young MÜSIAD Gaziantep Branch President Mustafa Orhan Nacar, Young MÜSIAD members, academicians, and students.
“We Aim to Train Entrepreneurial Leaders”
Highlighting that a virtuous entrepreneur not only enhances their individual success but also contributes to the overall well-being of society, HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli expressed, “Entrepreneurship is not only a path to individual success but also a significant force for societal development and innovation. At Hasan Kalyoncu University, we adopt an educational approach that not only ensures our students specialize in a particular field but also aims to equip them with an entrepreneurial spirit. We view entrepreneurship not just as a career path but as a lifestyle, encouraging our students to develop innovative thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills. In his speech, Young MÜSIAD Gaziantep Branch President Mustafa Orhan Nacar stated, “As Young MÜSIAD, we will continue to organize business meetings for young entrepreneurs, participate in international conferences, conduct sectoral studies, promote intra-member trade, and carry on with social activities aimed at societal benefit.”
“Turn Your Dreams Into Goals”
Following the opening speeches, Erbakan Malkoç, the recipient of the ‘Best Car Design Technology in the World’ award and a successful entrepreneur exporting to 163 countries, shared his entrepreneurial journey that began with determination and perseverance. In his speech, Malkoç stated, “Success is a struggle. To achieve success, you must develop a spirit of struggle. You should turn your dreams into goals; defining your dream will guide you. Another crucial concept in entrepreneurship is ‘value.’ You must add value to every product you produce. Virtue, adding value, noticing deficiencies, and continuous improvement are key factors on the path to sustainable success in the business world. As long as you strive to be better, no one can compete with you.
