
Journalists, writers and media members who came to Gaziantep for the opening of the first phase of the ‘Düzbağ Drinking Water Project, which will solve the drinking water problem of Gaziantep until 2050, visited Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) and made a campus tour.
After the opening of the project in which Kalyon Holding undertakes the project, the delegation consisting of journalists, writers and media members who visited HKU together with Kalyon Holding Board Member Mehmet Kalyoncu, visited the Golf Course, HKU Radio, Kalyon Garage Prototyping and Entrepreneurship Center, Faculty Buildings, Show and Art Center, Congress and Culture Center.

HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli hosted the delegation in his office. Dereli, who had a sincere conversation talked about the innovator and innovative aspects of HKU. Stating to the journalists that HKU is ranked 8th among foundation universities and 31st among all universities in the Entrepreneurial and Innovative University Index, Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli: “In the index announced by TÜBİTAK every year, universities this year; It was evaluated in four dimensions as “scientific technological research competence”, “intellectual property pool”, “cooperation and interaction” and “economic contribution and commercialization” and 22 indicators. In the announced index HKÜ; It increased its success chart by surpassing the ranking of last year among the entrepreneurial and innovative universities and universities that have scientific and technological competence and can offer this competence to the benefit of the ecosystem through cooperation and interaction with local, national and international innovation actors. HKU also proved its quality of education by ranking 9th among Foundation Universities in the “universities whose graduates can find jobs fastest” announced by the Presidency’s Human Resources Office.
