Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli published a congratulatory message on the occasion of “January 10 Working Journalists Day”.
Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli reminded that January 10 has been celebrated as “Working Journalists Day” since 1961, when the Press Labor Law, which regulates the rights of press sector employees, came into effect and included the following statements in his message;
“Today, it is an undeniable fact that reaching accurate and unbiased information and news in the fastest way has become more important than ever, and our press members have undertaken great responsibilities in enlightening the society objectively and sensitively. Our journalists, who fulfill their duties devotedly with this sense of responsibility, deserve every kind of appreciation as the seeing eye and hearing ear of the society with the articles they write and the news they prepare. With these feelings and thoughts; I sincerely congratulate all of our press members, especially the local press employees who have contributed to the development of the higher education ecosystem in Gaziantep until today”.
