
For a greener the “Breath to the Future” project which was organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, started at 11:11 on the date 11.11.2019 and 11 million saplings meet the land in all around Turkey and Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU), carried out seedlings for this planting activity as well.
ENVIRONMENTAL, GREEN AND ZERO EMISSION CAMPUS
Turkey’s 81 held simultaneously at provincial events, village schools with burning fields and village roads to the edge of the road from the school yard, mainly in degraded forest areas from public areas, churches and health centers of troops that can be done reforestation work until the garden was carried out in all potential areas. Supporting the “Breath to the Future” project, HKU brought the saplings to the soil with its students.
Gaziantep “green, green and zero-emission campus” with fore HK, simultaneous planting of 11 million trees in over 2023 points during the event in which Turkey was greening the campus. HKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Tunç and HKU General Secretary Ümit Şahnaoğlu planted saplings with the students. HKU students participated in the project, which was initiated in order to increase and improve the sensitivity to nature and the environment, especially to regenerate the forests that have been damaged recently.
HKU STUDENTS BECAME A BREATH TO THE FUTURE
Having a green campus that can reduce carbon dioxide emission up to 45 thousand trees a year, HKU supported its students in planting saplings with the event. The students, who rolled up their sleeves for a greener campus, were a breath of the future by irrigating their saplings after planting the saplings.
