The theme of “Women’s Health” will be discussed this year in the traditional and the fourth Public Health Days organized by Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Due to the coronavirus, the symposium will be held online between 19 and 20 December 2020 on the Zoom Video Conference platform and Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin and HKU Rector Prof. Dr. Türkay Dereli and expert scientists will attend the online symposium.
CITIES FROM WOMEN’S PERSPECTIVE AND WOMEN SINCE 1993
Organized by Hasan Kalyoncu University (HKU) and made a tremendous impression with its subject contents since the day it was organized, “Public Health Days” will take place this time under the title of “Women’s Health”. At the opening of the Symposium, where conference, panel and paper presentations will take place, there will be an online photography exhibition with the theme of “Woman”.
On the first day of the two-day program; The session was chaired by HKU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Özge Hacıfazlıoğlu and HKU Health Sciences Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Kezban Bayramlar. At the first conference Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin will talk about “Cities Through, the Eyes of Women”. In the conference which will be held with the participation of important names: “1993-Present Women: Turkey Demographic and Health Survey (DHS), Women’s Health and Nutritional Status in Gaziantep Province, Women’s Health and Gender Discrimination” with the topic “Women’s Health” will draw attention to on an important point.
In the Symposium, touched on scientific content and current issues and important topics:
Three separate panels will be held on the subjects of “Preventive Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in Women’s Health, Violence Against Women and Nutrition in the Life Process”
In the verbal presentations that will be presented in the program, which is expected to be intense participation and interest;
“Women’s Studies” will be shared with the participants.
CURRENT ISSUES AND SOLUTION RECOMMENDATIONS
At the 4th Public Health Symposium, organized by the HKU Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, to raise awareness, together with Women’s Health, the chronic, physiological, social and psychological conditions affecting women throughout their lives, the environment they live in, nutrition and lifestyle will be discussed. In the Symposium, which will be held online between 19-20 December 2020, current problems related to women’s health and solutions to these problems will be discussed.
